Burial held for martyrs' remains recovered in Laos

National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Thanh, together with representatives of the Special Task Committees of Salavan and Sekong provinces of Laos, attended a memorial, requiem and burial ceremony on Friday at the Huế Martyrs' Cemetery for the remains of eight Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who sacrificed their lives while serving on the Lao battlefield.

USS George Washington visits Da Nang

U.S. veteran’s mission: Finding Vietnam’s missing

Richard Magner, an American veteran, has devoted his retirement to helping Vietnam recover the remains of soldiers still missing from the war. So far, his research is helping identify around 10 mass grave sites across Vietnam. One of the most significant discoveries was in Loc Ninh, Dong Nai, where the remains of more than 200 soldiers have been recovered.
